5K Walk/Run

March 14, 2020, was frigid and drizzly, and seems a lifetime ago, just before COVID-19 shut down most activities in our community, and the world at large. Fortunately, SAL was up to the challenge, and shelter manager Danita, and volunteer fundraising coordinator, Cheyenne Friesz, made our only winter fundraiser a reality.

Shelter photographer, David Roberts, captured the highlights of the day, and pups were pleased to get out and romp. The event started at the former Hab Center grounds, and culminated at Marshall Dog Park.

“Running with the Pack” t-shirts, designed by Cheyenne, were sold, and there was a registration fee to participate.

Even amidst the dreary weather, SAL received $1036 to help with shelter needs.
